CHADD is the national non-profit organization representing children and adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD).


Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities
If you aren’t sure if there is an association for a specific disability area, go to this site. It provides the current membership list of organizations and associations for the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD). Best thing about this site is that it is pretty comprehensive and e-mail addresses are provided for most of the associations/organizations.


Cure Autism Now Foundation
Cure Autism Now (CAN) is an organization of parents, clinicians and leading scientists committed to accelerating the pace of biomedical research in autism through raising money for research projects, education and outreach.


International Reading Association

National Resource Center on ADHD
The National Resource Center on AD/HD: A Program of CHADD, funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

 

NICHCY stands for the National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities. We serve the nation as a central source of information on:

  • disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth,
  • IDEA, which is the law authorizing special education,
  • No Child Left Behind (as it relates to children with disabilities), and
  • research-based information on effective educational practices.

NLDA is a non-profit corporation dedicated to research, education, and advocacy for nonverbal learning disorders.
