General Summary of the Job:
Our ESA Schools located in the following counties in Florida, Hillsborough,
Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota has openings for experienced
Teachers to work with students diagnosed on the Autism spectrum. We
are looking for qualified individuals who have a passion for education
and a heartfelt desire to work with this population to help them succeed
in achieving individual goals.
Our Teachers are responsible for planning curricula and classroom schedules, preparing lesson plans and other instructional materials and providing effective instruction in the Academic, Social and Behavioral arenas for each individual student. In addition this position requires managing classroom activities and student behavior, along with reporting student progress and maintaining appropriate records. Experience in IEP writing, staffing meetings and IEP related assessments is a plus!
Requirements:
The position requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college
or university and one to two years of related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience that qualifies
the individual to teach students diagnosed with Autism. Masters Degree
a plus. Ideally, candidates will have experience working with challenging
student behaviors and be ABA experienced. Candidates must be highly
organized, structured, and willing to learn new skills.
